SonoMask by Sonovia
The SonoMask is reusable, washable, provides two-sided protection, and is proven to neutralize COVID-19
“An Israeli start-up company developed an anti-pathogen fabric that could be used in masks to stop the spread of coronavirus”
Scientifically Proven, anti-microbial fabric ensures durable protection.
Our proprietary zinc-coating upon our cotton-polyester blend is safe and tested to be effective even after being washed 90 times.
The SonoMask is produced with a soft, breathable fabric
A large amount of academic evidence suggests that the metallic nanoparticles at the core of our technology could be an effective shield against the growing epidemic COVID-19. We have early data showing that the fabric is virucidal for enveloped viruses and we are in the process of calibrating further. Our SonoMask is available commercially and including for scale-up, our other future objectives that we are working towards is creating a full arsenal of protective equipment by partnering with strategic manufacturers across the globe, in hopes that we will can implement effective, reusable, anti-viral utilties such as respirators and hazard suits.
Commencing in 2013, Sonovia began its mission by fostering the global rights for development concerning a revolutionary sono-chemical coating methodology designed at the prestigious Bar Ilan Univeristy in Israel. The company proceeded to establish material strategic partnerships and initiatives targeted to support its scale-up efforts; in pursuit of the noble objective to dramatically combat the transmission and impact of Hospital Acquired Infections globally. Moreover, Sonovia presents a global solution to the textile industry in the form of its disruptive ultrasonic based, high performance, sustainable and cost competitive wet-processing application, by massively aiding in alleviating excess pollution and waste.
The applications of the technology therefore have the potential to dramatically reduce the transmission of disease caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses as the mechanisms by which zinc oxide nano-particles acts are universally bio-active against all microbes
Sonovia is currently working to raise the necessary funds in order to scale-up and commercialize and bring their life saving technology to the market as soon as possible.
Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI)
Patients in hospitals are exposed to millions of bacteria causing post-treatment infections, which can result in medical complications, extended hospital stays, and increased risk of death.
Advanced Antimicrobial Protection
Our unique chemical formulations give textiles the ability to destroy bacteria, fungi and viruses providing protection for doctors and patients alike against potentially harmful bacteria and infections.
The textile industry is the second most polluting industry in the world. Our technology uses 50% less chemicals than the current method of fabric finishing, making it nontoxic to both humans and the environment.
Our novel coating method infuses textiles with our safe and effective formulations making them potent for up to 100 washes at 70 degrees Celsius- resulting in reusable, washable materials for long-lasting protection.
Watch for yourself how it works:
Select the quantity to order
Our ultrasound-based technology uses a process called cavitation to durably coat the individual textile fibers with our carefully engineered solutions. This ensures our fabrics stay protective for longer and allows them to be reusable and washable.
The generation of sound waves of precise-frequency acting upon our dedicated factory system media creates cavitation bubbles of high pressure & temperature extremes, resulting in the genesis of our carefully calibrated nano-particles. When the cavitation bubbles implode, jet-streams are created that force the nano-particles into the textile surfaces at very high speeds and densities for permanent fixation.
